Will the superfans ever throw in the towl?

To the FDE's, the wierdwolfs, the dude who has a giant arrowhead tatooed on the back of his head, are any of you going to ever throw in the towl on this franchise. There comes a point where you have to ask yourself if it is even worth it. Today i went to work to do some overtime instead of watching the game. I live for chiefs football and sundays but these last couple years I have just supported them because I love the city.

WOW Weirdwolf comes over to the light. I told you this years ago. See, I'm always right.

Unfortunately I think we are in for some blackout's and empty seats at Arrowhead before anything ever changes.

This kind of thing makes me sick.

It's easy to live in KC, go to actual games, and dress up like Elvis or impale yourself with rubber arrows or wear some kind of weird beast costume and be considered a "Superfan".

It's far more difficult to live a thousand miles from Arrowhead where the only local Chiefs gear you can find is a pair of boxer shorts made out of some kind of super stiff fabric that, although it cannot wrinkle, also cannot bend and, therefore, causes strange, lasting impressions on your buttocks, stream choppy video on game day, and go years without coming face to face with another Chiefs fan who, as it turns out, also happens to need bail money.

We get no respect.

I don't get as crazy as I used to with wins and losses... but, there are a lot of you that have been way too loyal for some of the crap you put up with as a fan.

This has nothing to do with who we cheer for, but some of you guys are very loyal and passionate for your team. Any fans like that deserve to see their teams reach the pinnacle of success.

I'm amazed and impressed with the dedication of any fan that buys the season tickets, shows up every Sunday - wild face paint or not, and supports the team.

I love my teams (Broncos and Razorbacks), but I'll never be that guy that is buying season tickets and going to every home game.... I'm too cheap and couldn't justify it, especially with the proliferation of sports bars with great TVs and cheap beer.

I don't know about denver but I can say from experience that the tailgating at Arrowhead is what adds to the passion(at least for me).I just can't drive 60 miles to tailgate and make it back to the gameroom in time for kick-off of all the games.

I would imagine that is a huge part of it... I saw some of that first hand a few years ago and despite the extreme cold, there was a lot of tailgating going on.

I would just have issues carving out a full day to devote to the event 8 times out of the year in the fall. You're not just talking about a 3.5 hour game, you're talking about a full day of action.

I just think it's kinda odd to think back to DEN@KC last year and see how that ushered in the Cutler era. Then, you see Den@KC this year and it has likely ushered in the Croyle era.

Hmm... what happens in 2008??

To think we've lost three home games already. It's really tragic. Off with Herm's head.

You need a towl launcher. They're expensive, but worth it. There's nothing like the thrill of seeing a towl entering the stratosphere at mach 3.

No screaming, Mr. cookster50. You have to sedate them prior to launch.

sadly i feel the same way. . yesterday when the 2 td's happened in 9 secs i kinda just laughed and shook my head, but back in the early 90's i would have thrown my TV set out the window and not watched sportscenter for the entire week. . i miss the passion I used to get. . I hope one day it comes back. . im not sure if it is caused by me maturing and getting older or by the lack of heart I see in the teams personal from management to players. . .
with that said as long as I am alive i will still be a chiefs fan. . i could never root for another team
