yup, mine came back in 10 days. They actually repaired the console instead of sending me a refurb or new unit.

So I've gone 2 years without getting into a football game. I bought Madden 07 & 08 and ended up trading them both in before a month. I have a major itch to play some football in a franchise mode. So, I surfed around on the 2K forums and apparently there are already rosters ready to download with this years draft and offseason moves.
So I did some more research, learning that you need some XPORT or XSATA thing to download them off of your PC and onto the 360. Also that this game is already backwords compatible (because I already sold my original XBOX). So I got in the car and drove to Gamestop. Asked if they had an XPORT or XSATA, they had no clue what I was talking about so I left. Went to ebay and found an XPORT for the 360, $50 in all with shipping. Ordered it then I found a copy of ESPN NFL 2K5 (which I never played, I was still a Maddenite then). So sometime next week I am PUMPED to start a franchise with current rosters and rookies! By the looks of it I may never have to buy another NFL game ever again, or at least until 2K is able to make another football game packed with a great franchise mode. It seems that a lot of people still play NFL 2K5 with a passion and that doesn't look to die anytime soon. I'm PUMPED! I need my football fix and I could NOT get into the past 2 Madden's and EA sports has forever lost my business and I used to be very faithful to them, almost in a fanboy type of way. |

that's what I hear. I can't believe I've never played it, I was still a "Madden only" fanboy I guess, even though I hate to admit that.
I'm glad I played APF 2K8, great gameplay. but it was only good for online play which got cheesy and glitchy. I was in the top 100 for a while when the game first came out. |

ESPN NFL 2K5 was easily the best football game ever created, and it still amazes me Madden hasn't been able to top it 4 years later. EA even has the ESPN license now and their presentation still sucks. Hopefully enough Maddenites start seeing what EA really is and just stop buying Madden. It won't happen, but I can still dream. Stupid fanboys.

Well, it now seems as though I should be getting back my Xbox 360 on Tuesday. That will be 8 days from the time it arrived at their facility until it gets back to my house. Not bad.

Maybe they're not handling as many broken systems as they once were resulting in quicker turnaround. The new systems are probably lasting longer.
I'm on my fourth system, but this one has actually lasted more than a year. *Knock on wood*

Likewise Laz, mine should be in some time this week. It's been weird though, I've been 360-less for a couple of months now and don't really miss it.

I'm a broke college student. If you'd like to pay for mine AND ship it I'd be more than willing to become a PS3 deepthroater.
