Who is going to see the Dark Knight this weekend?
I'm super pumped that it's almost here...
I am going likely friday night visiting my friend in Madison, WI, to see on a HUGE Screen. So far http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_dark_knight/ 95% with 227 total reviews.... Also use this thread for your personal reviews if you wish and cover up spoilers... Last edited by Sure-Oz; 07-24-2008 at 08:50 AM.. Reason: updating RT meter |

**** NO! waiting in lines makes me want to murder people plus nothing I hate more that a super crowded theater, people start acting like asstards then. I'll see it sometime but not for a while. Mainly because the public completely ruins the movie going experience for me.

I think a movie like this will keep pretty much everybody's attention, adult and young punk alike. Unless I get ruined by some selfish bitch with a crying baby, I think I'll be fine.

I had a similar, if not more extreme, reaction of giddyness to the Downey Jr. casting of Tony Stark. Generally, if you put a talented actor (who isn't just interested in collecting a paycheck) in your superhero movie, you're going to get a great performance. |

A movie reviewer on the radio said it is the best movie of the year so far.
And said that Ledger's acting is awesome. Not just because he just died either. He plays a dark character, the movie has the dark humor as well. Didn't go into much further detail then that. I thought Iron Man was the cool. Sounds like its a must movie theater see. I'd rather actually go into a movie with lower expectations. |

I was excited about Ledger from the start. But I can't say I really thought he be as good as he apparently is. I figured he could "pull it off", and by all accounts he did much more than that.
I would've liked to have seen what he would have done over the course of a long career. We lost a good one, there. |

To be honest, and i think i might be speaking for a few others out there. Heath Ledger doing Brokeback mountain had me lose credibility in him as an actor. Plus you think he's a bundle of sticks. (sorry Claython for any insults) So when they said he was the villain i thought, OMG! Now, after all thats happened, you think, well i guess i shouldn't pass judgement so soon. |

Yeah, if I didn't actually say "Brokebat Mountain," I definitely thought it.

Just got home from seeing it.
Awesome. The Ledger reviews don't do his work in this movie justice. He MAKES the movie. He makes the joker a truly twisted, demented, psychotic, malevolent being. A couple of notes (no spoilers): you finally learn why Batman does that submarine thing in his car. A LOT of cool new gadgets. Bale's voice is incredibly annoying when in costume. Ledger's joker was fucking brilliant. I will pay to see it again.

I love Bale, but I'm way more excited about seeing the Joker than Batman, this time around.
