Bengals quarterback was recently interviewed on LA-based sports radio station (KLAC) and talked about living in Ohio and the upcoming USC-Ohio State college football matchup. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Just being in Ohio you gotta watch what you say with the old Ohio State-USC battle coming up, or do you just not give a (darn) and your going to say what you feel like saying?

Palmer: I don’t watch what I say. I cannot stand the Buckeyes and having to live in Ohio and hear those people talk about their team, it drives me absolutely nuts. We got Keith Rivers out there and we got Frostee Rucker, we finally got a couple other ‘SC guys. It’s amazing to hear what those guys think about that university and what they think about that football program and Tressel and all the crap I got to put up with being back there. I just can’t wait for two years from now when ‘SC comes to the ‘Shoe and I get to, hopefully have a home game that weekend and I can go out there and watch us pound on them on their own turf and kind of put all the talk to rest, because I’m really getting sick of it. I just can’t wait for this game to get here so they can come to the Coliseum and experience L.A. and get an old fashioned, Pac 10 butt-whooping and go back to the Big Ten.

I'd rather argue about how USC is better than OSU....

It's hard to argue about anything when there are all these OSU haters who don't want to talk about anything except that OSU sucks. Which is fine with me, you don't have to like OSU, but after the 10th time, I think you made your point. Let the actual talk proceed, and go bother some other thread.

I would agree with that. Along with the fact that any of the SEC teams that O$U has played were better.

It is just that the Columbus area and the rest of the state of Ohio, revolves around O$U and think that O$U can do no wrong. I understand why the majority of the state of Ohio doesn't acknowledge there are pro teams in the state and consider O$U their own pro franchise. I know there are other areas around major colleges that have the same issue.

I am just asking for an objective view on the topic. I as a MU fan know that we had every oppurtunity last year and who knows what would have happened if we would have been able to beat OU in the Big 12 Championship game.

I can see where you are coming from. One thing, if an entire state devoted to a college football program that they think can do no wrong bother you don't ever, ever go down south to an SEC state.

I'd rather discuss breaking the damn system that gives these two schools so much cred. The BcS and the media enables conversations like this. Most fans are tired of the OSU,USC Bull shit and thats why they hate them.

No, I wouldn't expect AJ to be a Wisconsin fan when they play the Buckeyes. But I would expect AJ to be a professional, keep his mouth shut or choose his words wisely. Always best not to piss off your own fan base.
