I would've been done probably a year ago or so if i never got sick and had to miss a year. It sucks but keep working your ass off and you'll get done.

I'm also wanting to take Cisco security classes as well....just too much shit on my plate. GF also wants to go back to school after graduating MU in '05, wants to get an MBA or something, but likely to try law school as well

Sounds like shes a keeper. I wish I could take more classes but 16 is the most I've ever taken. History classes with these professors are fairly easy as long as you take notes in class and study for the tests.

I just got home from buying books, and was going to start a rant thread about the cost....looks like I don't have it nearly as bad as some of you. $509 for 5 books.
I'm still working on core classes, and am taking 15 credit hours - MFW from 8am-11am, then a 1 hour break, then classes from Noon-2pm. Completely off on Tuesday/Thursday. I took all my "fun" classes early, which is becoming quite the PITA now - stuck with a math class, Art Appreciation, Sociology, Astronomy and a Logic course. Neither of the 2 EDU classes I needed were offered this semester - that kinda screwed me as well. I'm dropping down to part-time work while I'm in class, and am applying for an internship with one of the local professional sports franchises this week - my wife has a good friend on the inside - hope it helps - I'd kill to get my foot in the door. I actually need to start a thread on creating a kick ass cover letter....I've been lucky enough to not have to do it recently. Any suggestions before I crank out a new thread? |

I typically don't require books for many of my courses.

I remember spending up to $200 the most in the early 90's for books, wow they have really shot up in price.

Public Finance
Money and Banking American Foreign Policy Art History Two more semesters and a few more Economic classes and I'm fucking done son. Cannot wait. And I haven't bought a book in like 5 semesters. Most profs do everything off of powerpoint, and the book is just a study tool, and while helpful, isn't necessary. |
