Dont all magicians do a form of trickery and fakery?? What difference does it make if its TV edits or slight of hand or props? Its all fake in some form or another.

I still prefer Copperfield... although many can't stand him.

I like this guy. His "walking on water" act is amazing.
But, I truly love table magic. Really close-up stuff with cards and things. I spent an evening at the Magic Castle once and toured around back for a while after a show. There were several magicians just hanging out who wanted to show us some table magic. It was incredible. Absolutely amazing stuff. These guys could make balls disappear and then instantly show up in a woman's purse. Of course, there are a bunch of women in LA who can do the same thing, but they're a lot more expensive. FAX |

If that is true about the crane and wires then everyone standing around him has to be in on the trick. How could you NOT see a crane? There has to be something else less obvious than a crane carrying him across the street like that.

Plus he has control over what the cameras show. So its carefully edited. Thats a big part of it. The camera will just show you what he wants you to see. Usually a small group of people (paid actors) are around when he does his tricks. I will clap and ooohh and aaahhhh for 500 dollars. |
