Lithium will help me get through this Chiefs season. I'll be ready for some Mizzou football and scout Georgia and Florida for our next QB!

No... just the Chiefs.
College - Gators won football and 2 basketball champs while I was in school and reached college baseball's CWS final. Baseball - seen the Marlins win 2 WS's (was at games 6&7 in 1997) and the Rays are kicking ass in the first full season since I moved to Tampa. Basketball - Saw the Heat win it all a couple years ago. Hockey/Soccer - who cares

Nah, I did until the last couple of years. But I watched the Cards win the world series recently, and saw MU have a great season last year.

Yes, actually. I'll turn a random game on TV, start pulling for one team, and they inevitably get rolled. Hell, even my kid's volleyball team got crushed in her championship game. I bring teh bad ju-ju.

Jayhawk Basketball -- Well, if you think Kansas' success was just an aberration, your standards are probably too high. With the exception of two seasons of transition, the last several seasons have been great, imho. Can't expect a NC every few years.
Jayhawk Football -- It hasn't been just a 'tradition since September'. It's been fun watching them since Mangino took over. Chiefs -- Might be cursed... they're paying for the fact that they've never been able to develop a QB, and really paying for the fact that their last 3 head coaches have been a DC, a glorified OC, and glorified DC. Avalanche -- Some very good years, but paying a little for their lack of planning a few years ago. Couldn't be much better. Bearcats -- Won back-to-back NCs the first two years I was there, and I still get to see them on ESPN once or twice a year... even though they can't seem to be able to win their last game over the past few years. |

I thought my Jayhawks were cursed and then they turned around and won a championship, so I hold out hope that the Chiefs will one day do the same.

if it wasn't for MJ retiring... it could have been worse. horrible post-seasons and stuck in mediocrity
Rockets-can't get out of the first round in who knows how many tries since championships Astros- 1 WS and another NLCS appearance but a handful of 1 and dones throughout late 90s and early 2000s. chiefs- well you know. Texas A&M football- consistent underachievement and horrendous bowl record dating back to RC. 1 sugar bowl appearance and loss college basketball- don't care |
