Planning on doing a brisket - but that motherfu*ker Gustav is messing with my weekend.

I have conference calls Sat, Sun and Mon - may have to actually go to the office on Mon depending on what this son of a biaatch does.

We are relocating employees from our Houston and NO area facilities to our Lakewood, CO office to keep our pipelines moving natural gas and gas/diesel.

You oughta BBQ up some 80/20 burgers and ballpark franks.

Nothing tops off great BBQ like that like KC Masterpiece.

Sauce of the Gods.

I'll bet I cooked more meat than everyone else today. Pulled 126 racks of ribs from 2 cookers today. Have another 144 to cook tommorow. Been a busy day. 270 total. Ribs are averaging just over 4 lbs each before they go on. Cooking with Apple wood that had been cut for close to two years, it's doing great.

Cooking them makes for a nice church fund raiser. We used to have to work at selling, but we've gotten enough of a reputation for our ribs that people have been bugging us for the last 3-4 months wondering when we were going to cook again.

I'll be re-lighting the fires between 5 and 5:30 am in the morning.

Wish I had time for that - nothing like spending a couple of days tending the smoker. I have been so busy this year I didn't even get to do the BBQ at the Summit in Dillon, CO.

Uhm, no. Here's a few pics of the two smokers we run with...

Here's the one I built a few years back to help us get more ribs cooked.

Here's the old one that the Church had when I got here (when I got here it was a major rust bucket, I painted it, made a few modifications, and cooked a lot of ribs on it since...

Here's a sample pick (from a few years ago) of a few ribs about to come off...

You want to come and tend ours tommorow, I'll let you. I'd rather be at the lake myself.

Actually, we put some hot links on today for lunch. They were a bit spicey for some, but I managed to put four away.

Demon, you're so fucking American..you're like Brett Favre throwing footballs across a pond in Wranglers jeans...only instead of Brett Favre, you're Patrick Swayze throwing natty light cans into the mouth of a 6 foot long, 150 pound bass driving a 1994 Thunderbird Supercoupe off a flaming ramp made of Miller Lite boxes and pride; wearing an evil kenievel jumpsuit and depending on a parachute made of beef jerky and dream catchers, all bound together by Indian tears.

Because you don't fucking litter. That's why.

That's got to be the coolest thing any Beaker (hell, anyone) has ever typed on this God forsaken website.

It's mine. But Demon gave me the inspiration. The St. Joe connection was so damn strong in this thread, I had to throw down some posting goodness in this thread.

Hey PastorMikh, that is some serious Q equipment you guys got going. I am highly impressed.

Can I ask how much the church raises smoking 270 racks of ribs?

Also......are they spare ribs or baby backs?

Demon's a genious (CP spelling) in his own, quirky, oddball way.

But man, that post deserves rep.
