Thank you all for everything you did.

I just attended a 2nd annual trivia night on Saturday to benefit a scholarship fund started in the name of a fallen friend who died in Iraq. Sad story, but a great cause to remember.

*side note- my transfer request to go to a CID unit looks like it's finally getting the approval from my new battalion's powers that be. It's funny, a MP company in an administration battalion can't get any paperwork done. I wasn't the only one with a request to train/go to a school/transfer or just to go active, and nothing was getting done for more than a year. Two weeks after our new battalion takes over and everyone's getting their requests addressed. BTW - the new battalion is an MP battalion.

What a wild start to Veterans Day for me. I have to work - of course but I turned on the tv on my hotel room and what do I see? A reporter is interviewing the current Commander, US Forces and he happens to be a junior officer that I trained to be a good Division Officer on his first sub - "now" Jonathin Greenert. Wild, I tell you.
