Thigpen: 101.1 Passer rating over last 4 games
I don't think any QB in Chiefs history has started off this well, certainly not under these dire circumstances. KCJohnny This is funny. John Elway 1st year:

Very True, the thought of Gailey taking control of this offense is very very exciting as a fan...

If the current trend continues, 2009 could be a very interesting campaign. Thiggy with a year under his belt could be the real thing.

The best thing that could happen to this team is that Thigpen is pronounced the 2009 starting QB and we draft desperately needed LBs and a DE.

I have seen the Samoan guy who plays for USC - he looks terrific - but I'd have to really study to see who is out there. I usually don't pay much attention to the draft until the NFL season is ended. Who would you like to see drafted? Any faves?

I would love to see us take 1. Orakpo 2. Brandon Spikes (ILB FLA) Or: 1. Maualuga 2. Tyson Jackson IF he is there if not Maurice Evans (DE PSU) |

Either way, if we shore up our defense and provide another weapon for Thiggy's arm and of course a RT to replace McIntosh, I think we would have a solid draft that could load the Chiefs for years to come.

I think we're saying the same thing: If Tyler emerges as the guy we can spend our top '09 picks where we need the most help.

Back him up with Harrell or Cantwell (assuming Freeman doesn't declare), and get him another deep threat. QB - Thigpen, Gray, Harrell RB - Johnson (?), Charles, Savage WR - DBowe, Bradley, D. Williams/B. Robiskie TE - Gonzo, Cottam |
