Topeka's had a rash of arsons over the last 2 months, and a longer spate of them going back about 2 years. First a bunch of churches, including mine, then more recently some businesses, a dorm at Washburn, and some vacant buildings.

This thread reminds me of the time back in the day when Ms. Luke and myself were camping/fly fishing down at Roaring River State Park.
It was August and the temps were in the triple digits all day. It was so hot that by around 10AM all we felt like doing was sitting in the creek on lawn chairs with a bottle of Jack, but I digress.

The fellas camping a few spots down were evidently rookies and couldn't figure out how to work their Colman stove. Both of them were beet red sunburned by the 2 day but still had to have a roaring campfire. One of the rocket scientists decided that he could make the campfire easier to start using the Coleman fuel, so he put the gallon can on the fire.

The resulting explosion not only set their Coleman lantern on fire, but also their tent and car. Fire department never showed up but they were able to put out the fire, eventually saving their car. Ever since then anytime I see someone being stupid with fire I think about the Fabulous Pyro Brothers.
