The unrated DVD release was 117 minutes long. There "might" be 229 total minutes, if this set comes with both the unrated and theatrical release but there's not a version out there that 229 minutes long. FWIW, I liked it but not as much as Superbad or 40 Year-Old Virgin. More than Knocked Up for sure. |

And who knew Cruise had such a sense of humor? I can't hear "Apple Bottom Jeans" without thinking of Lester. Edit: Also the special effects guy... (Played Franco's supplier in Pineapple Express.) That dude's hilarious. |

Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis kept me in this movie. I wanted to throw Jason Segel in the woodchipper.

and I really enjoyed sarah marshall.
while we're talking comedies of 2008, I have to bring up 'sex drive' highly underrated. I went in with very low expectations (only saw it because it was in the dollar theatre, and I was bored)--it was ****ing HILARIOUS--it has to go in my top three of the year. my list: 1. step brothers 2. zack and miri make a porno 3. sex drive 4. forgetting sarah marshall 5. pineapple express 6. tropic thunder 7. get smart 8. role models (not high enough, but it's hard to top anything but get smart. I didn't like this as much as the rest, but I DID enjoy it) some are too close to really rate--I love comedies, and watch a LOT of them... 1-5 are interchangeable, depending on my mood. We have similar tastes in comedy. I disagree about Step Brothers, but as I said, I didn't finish it... so that's not really fair. Zach and Miri, though... we agree on that. I'm a huge Kevin Smith geek... add a little Seth Rogan, and you've got genious. (CPS) |
