Literature- I need your help!

Dammit, I'm taking a literature class and there is a question that I need help with.

Identify the work from which each passage is taken and its author, and describe the significance of the passage in relation to the work's meaning:

5. Boom Down

Yes, that's it. That's all it says...... And it covers the entire book, unfortunately I did not read every story and cannot find the two word passage. I don't need the meaning...just the story/poem that it is in.

I appreciate your help in advance.

And as usual... Have a beer on me

Okay Mike, really, those stories are very short, you could have read A Good Man is Hard to Find and The Lottery by now. Two paragraphs is nothing. In A Good Man is Hard to Find the grandmother symbolizes the old way of thinking, which she romantacizes, but in reality it is as corrupt, petty, and small minded any other point in history. The Misfit symbolizes a societal misfit, but ironically, he in many ways has a more pragmatic, honest and realistic view of the world.

Don't be an English major, then.
