Misc -- What to wear to a wedding when you're not in it? - Page 4

Yeah so, I'm going to a wedding of a buddy of mine on Sept. 12th. I'm wanting to look really nice, as weddings are an amazing medium for networking/meeting people (most notably, girls) but, I'm thinking grey button up w/ navy pin-stripes and a bold navy tie accompanied by some fine solid dark, dark navy flat front, semi-formal pants w/ my power shoes, which were purchased at Norstroms, split-toe, calfskin, black.

Or, do you all think i need to buy a sports-coat, too? My ex-wife handled all of the 'proper etiquette' bullshit when I was married, so, I'm a little lost as to the do's n do nots.

for a summer wedding the one can't miss thing you can wear is a khaki or light colored pants and jacket. banana republic has this very setup. i think i got mine for about three bills. great thing is it's very versatile. you can wear the whole thing or just the jacket and jeans. tie or no tie. if you wear the pants and jacket (they are both very light and comfy in the summer) wear a pastel colored shirt no tie. i'd also go black belt and shoes. goes with light colors better in my opinion. for the shirt color you can't go wrong with peach, light pink, a light lime green, lavender, a baby blue, or a shirt with those colors in stripes. those colors might not be up your alley but they will be up women's. it'll show you have confidence in your self and some fashion sense or at least you'll look like it for a night. this isn't nearly as difficult to do as you made tapping your neighbors friend out to be. go to banana and walk up to one of the girls working there. they're all usually pretty damn cute with a pretty good fashion sense. tell her where your going, the setting, and time and she'll set you up. hell have a couple of them help. it will be fun and trust their recommendations even if it puts you outside your comfort zone. after listening to your trials and tribulations re. women being out of your comfort zone will probably be a good thing. the girls helping you love to do make overs for the fashion impaired. just think of it like this. . . .they are dressing you up to look the way they'd like a guy they want to f**k to look. that should give you a little confidence. i was even lucky enough to hookup with a banana chick. they get thirty percent off everything so if you play your cards right there will be good times all around. sr find a way to stow your inner pussy and life will come to you much easier my friend.

Start with a Valentino suit.

And Ryan, you've to wear clothes in proportion to your physique. There are definite dos and dont's, good buddy of wearing a bold striped shirt. A bold stripe shirt calls for solid colored or discreetly patterned suits and ties.

But the key is in getting ready.

In the morning if your face is a little puffy, put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. After removing the ice pack, use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb-mint facial mask which you should leave on for 10 minutes while you prepare the rest of my routine. Always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
