I keep reading this kind of reaction. At what point will the fan base realize that if all of these players have these problems here but don't seem to have the same issues elsewhere that the problem is not with the player. Maybe it is the entire atmosphere of the team.

And no, I don't think Haley's style will change this for the better.

They won't, because it's impossible for most of them to believe, if even for a second, that Pioli/Haley are capable of making mistakes.

Seems like Mike Brown and Mike Goff are real stiffs. Do they get a bigger pension if they get to play one more year? Maybe Pioli has a bleeding heart for has-beens.

I think the Chiefs would be as well off if they put a red tricycle on the field as the 11th player instead of Mike Brown or Mike Goff.

Fact of the matter is that a good coach gets the most out of his players. There is no disputing that. Plain and simple fact.

That Bernard Pollard did not play to his potential in KC is a reflection on the coaching staff, organization and player. Anyone can say "he didn't play that well here". The fact is that Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey, Troy Polamalu, Ray Lewis and _____ (insert Pro Bowler here) wouldn't play as well
here.

The inability of the staff to judge a defensive players ability has become extremely obvious. I do believe that Haley can be a good coach/teacher on offense and hope that some day it translates to head coach. If he doesn't watch it, he's going to alienate so many potential free agents and existing Chiefs players with talent (limited as they might be) that we won't get or keep anyone.

He can't be a dick to everyone all the time and expect to sign talented players. They do have egos and they don't want to look like an idiot walking back to the sidelines while their coach is screaming at them. They all watch Sportscenter, have seen those highlights and none of them want to be on a team that is poorly coached, has a bunch of washed up players and a losing record with no signs of coming out of the cellar.

Pendergast's former players in Zona are saying how much more comfortable they are with the new scheme over last years. In 2008 Arizona's defense was ranked 28th in points and in 2009 they are 11th in points. I don't believe they had any notable free agents and the only clear change has been some coaching staff.

Anyone else notice in yesterday’s broadcast, they showed some highlight sequence to compliment the stat of (something to the effect of) the Chiefs giving up 60+ yd plays in the last 4 or 5 games…..

And during the video footage, Mike Brown is seen in each one missing a tackle.

Lovely.

Mike Brown is beyond God awful, no doubt about that but let's quit acting like we cut some friggin Pro Bowler in favor him.

Pollard was absolute garbage when he was here...he's had one great game and now suddenly we made a huge mistake by cutting him? Uh no.

Some players just fit better in other schemes or with different coaches, period. The fact the guy was a douche didn't help either.

Again I want no part of Mike Brown but I don't want Bernard ****ing Pollard either.

Lovely.

Can't remember what game I was watching, but during the halftime report or gamebreak, when they showed the Chiefs/Jags highlights, one of the announcers pointed out that on two BIG plays, the "common denominator was Mike Brown on the coverage".

that is reason right there to question this administration's ability to evaluate talent.......Mike Brown over Pollard?

Just so I’m clear, I’m in no way insinuating that we ‘should’ve ‘ kept Pollard. He was garbage as well.

Simply pointing out Brown’s sucki-itude as well.

Carry on.

I agree, Todd Haley can't get his own head out of his ass long enough, to see that whenever he puts D.J. on the field all he does is makes plays. The man can't coach. any successful company you find will most likely have a manager who is a good mentor, motivator, and galvanizing force for success. So far these guys have mishandled to many talented players. Most companies who don't value the right employees don't do well with their customers or products, this is the case with the Chiefs now.
