Google GPS Navigation...Nice Knowing you Garmin, TomTom, etc.

How cool does this look?

I really hope this comes to iPhones soon. Otherwise, I may be switching to a Google Android phone like the new Motorola Droid.

The way I understand it was the $15 is only if the company has an agreement with verizon in place that would require verizon to do something on the backend.

Otherwise I believe exchange support will work without the $15 fee

I haven't seen that anywhere but I hope that would be right. Otherwise, Verizon can hardly knock ATT which offers free Exchange support since Exchange support is built into iPhone and doesn't require anything on ATTs end.

Exchange support is built into ALOT of smartphones - in rare cases do you have to pay to use it.

My Samsung Moment has Exchange Support that I use for work, Samsung had an agreement with moximail to handle exchange on android - for the HTC hero HTC wrote their own Exchange support for Android.

Palm with WebOS supports multiple exchange accounts.

Sprint has the Best PLAN deal right now - so if you live in a area with good sprint coverage I would highly suggest them just due to the cost of the plan - Sprints plans include all you can eat data/text/MMS + anymoible anytime

I know. That's why I'm confused as to why or how they're charging for it.

Yeah right. There is only 40,000 apps from 10,000 different developers. They should encourage developers. Also there are already several GPS programs developed.

There is talk that a Google Voice app is being redone for the iPhone, and won't threaten AT&T's calling service. That's why it was rejected by the App Store. And if you want Google Voice on your iPhone, just navigate to google.com/voice/m in Safari. There you have all the Google Voice features anyway. Problem solved.

Saying they don't allow 3rd party apps is pretty ignorant.

Actually, that's not entirely accurate. Apple denied it because it "duplicated the iPhone's integrated features". Which, of course, is bullshit. But even Apple didn't blame ATT.

Ugh, the whole thing makes me sick no matter who's to blame. Computers don't have shit like that.
