I go into the bathroom, lift the lid on the head and there is a giant poo in there. WTF? Did the maid have to drop a load?

Fast forward to two 2:25 am. I bunch of dickweeds are running up and down the hall yelling and banging on doors. I tried to ignore it, threw a pillow over my head but could get back to sleep. It just kept going on with a party in a room across the hall. (Have Glock 20 with hollow points and 15 round clips, but the law would be upset if I shoot them for this )

I got up, throw on my pants and go knock on the door. Some punk answers and says "yeah man?" I said, you guys do know its 3:00 in the ****ing morning don't you? Perhaps it's time to stfu and go night night, there are people up here that aren't owls.

I go back to bed, but am two pissed off and adrenaline up to sleep. About 30 minutes later it starts again. I call the front desk and tell them what's going on and it some chick along and she says, "there is nothing I can do about it." On go the pants, BANG BANG BANG, door opens, same punk. "I asked nicely once, now I'm telling you ****ers for the last time to hold down the noise!" Punk shuts door and all is quiet.

Fast forward to 6:00 am when my alarm goes off. (slept for about an hour) I'm still pissed off and notice when I go to leave hat they had the balls to put a do not disturb on their door. Wrong answer! Back in my room I go. I dial up their room, no answer. I dial it again, no answer. On the 3rd try, they answer and I said "RISE AND SHINE!" *Click* BANG BANG BANG on their door. A different punk answers. I stuck my head in the door and said "RISE AND SHINE, breakfast is on boys and girls!" I figured, if they had the nuts to party until 3:30 and keep the whole 3rd floor up, they could get up with the rest of us.

I have another Hotel from hell story, but I need to hit the road and make calls in a different town right now.

What are your hotel stays from hell stories?

Ha, nice story Greg!

This last summer, I was driving out to Virginia Beach, to pick up my wife, and spend some time with the in-laws.
I left right after work, so was pretty sure I wouldn't do the whole 1000 miles, without stopping.

I never make reservations, just drive until I get too tired, and find a place to plop.
That didn't work out so well this time, I pulled off in some little town in Pennsylvania. They were having some Biker fest, kind of like Strurgess NorthEast.

Stopped in the Holiday Inn, they wanted $260, went to the Comfort Inn, they wanted $185. So, I go to the Knights Inn, and she said $90. I told her I didn't want to invest in the place, just wanted to sleep a few hours. She said she had a room in the back, that the A/C didn't work, and would let me have it for $65.

Holy crap, the sheets were dirty, the carpet torn, and it had one hand towel. I put my T-Shirt over the pillow and crashed. Kept one eye open for bugs.

My wife and I were staying in the Fairmont in Chicago. It turned out to be the service nightmare from hell, but they also got a customer for life.

When we arrived our room was not ready so we dropped our bags and went sightseeing.

When we arrived back at the hotel we decided to stop in the sushi restaurant for a snack. A wanna be ghetto white kid with attitude was our busboy/server. I asked for two glasses of water and menus. About 5 minutes later he returns with two half full waters with no ice. Before I could ask for ice he slams them down and returns to the bar to flirt with the Bartender. I get up and take the water back to the bar and ask for 2 full glasses with ice politely. I was starting to get irritated having been in the Hospitality business for 20 years. As he is returning he looks to the Anglo sushi chef and says in a loud voice can you believe this asshole is bitching about water.

I have a horrible temper and the look on my wife face was one of abject horror at what my response would be. I am quite proud that I got up, took my wife hand and quietly said lets go. We walked directly to the front desk and asked them to cancel our reservation. When they inquired why I explained to them the encounter and that if this was the level of service we were going to receive that we would be leaving. They went into full damage control and escorted us to our room. The F&B manager called us and apologized. We got free room service and 2 Bottles of Stag Leaps Reserve Cab.

The next day I sent out my suit to be dry cleaned and they lost it. I had dinner reservation that night that required a suit. They brought in a tailor and purchased a suit for me. They then gave the hotel Bentley and Driver to us for the remainder of the stay.

I have always told my employees that accidents happen it is how we recover from them that is important.

Vailpass is right it is all about how you ask. I love the term "unacceptable"

Dude, honest to God, if it would have been in the wild west days, I would have just opened the door and shot them. I told the desk clerk at the Holiday Inn Express that I'm staying at tonight about Hotel hell. I also told him if, something like that happens tonight, I would be calling down for a maid to clean the blood up in the hall and a guy with a bag and a cart to pack away the body.
I have never had any issues at this hotel. *Knocks on wood*

That would have done it for me, he was obviously new to business, not just that Motel.

I hope tonight is better for you. Traveling on the road for many years, I had a lot of those experiences.

One time, at the Double Tree in KC, they had some kind of kids hockey tournament going on, no sleep that night.

Another time, had been on the road a couple weeks, and was in Binghamton, NY. I swear some "screamer" gal was getting a train in the next room. The headboard was right up against my wall, miserable night.
