I remember my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Longfellow, taught that if you can't say something nice then keep your mouth shut.

I have not always followed that, but here is a real life example of someone creating a lot of grief for himself and others by throwing an unnecessary verbal stone at someone.

Well, Mrs. Longfellow can talk all she wants, but she once called me a fart head.

At the age of 5, the last thing you need is for a lady to call you a fart head. I've shampooed at least 4 times a day ever since. That old bag has cost me a fortune in shampoo.

Completely disagree that he brought this on himself. It's a real life example of the telephone game that I played in second grade (since we're going back to grade school). One thing got said, and by the time it gets around, what was originally said got twisted. It's not his fault people are making a big deal out of it. It's also not his fault that Haley would lie about it. How many games have you been to a game where you booed a player, coach, or ref? Wouldn't that also be considered "throwing an unnecessary verbal stone"?

Bingo. That's what I discovered in my situation, the person in the media that I spoke to regarding it left out key pieces of information and slightly embellished some things when he reported it to make it seem worse than it actually was.

Since I have some experience in this matter and the Planet does in this matter maybe we should re-visit how we treat people on here that share information with us.

I posted on here that LJ had a broken bone in his foot. Everybody (Local and national) was reporting it as a sprained abkle. For two full days before any national or local media had the story, the Planet had the story for free with no motivation other than to share info with fellow Chief fans. I was trashed for posting BS, for posting lies, called a liar. Wellll we know how that turned out.....

I think waiting at the rail to yell a disrespectful insult that is not even funny is the problem I was talking about.

I could give a sh*t about the troubles and travails resulting from pouring one's heart out into Jack Harry's squeezebox.

I don't think he meant it to be funny.

Interesting take. I absolutely believe George on this, but find the thought of yelling at a guy at point blank range that he deserves to be fired to be a little cold-blooded unless he has done something to me personally. The fallout makes for good Chiefsplanet reading, though.
