Other things are more important at this point in my life. Maybe later. Maybe not. I don't have any idea what the future will hold.

Let's put it this way, dating lies somewhere below "figure out what you really want to do with your life" and "figure out where you really want to do it." I've started to have this feeling that things are beginning to click into place for me, and I want to really put all my focus and effort on my work (part of which is figuring out what I want to do) and deciding if Kansas is really where I'm supposed to be.

Relationships aren't even on the radar at this point. But they could be at a later juncture. Which is what I mean by not knowing what the future holds. I'm not writing anything off. But it's also not a driving force in my life right now. The strangest thing for me is that there actually is a driving force in my life. I actually feel motivated to do things and better myself, to more actively live my life. It's a little weird after so many years of being a stick bouncing along on the rapids, going wherever the river decided to take me. I guess it's just time.

None of which probably makes any sense to anybody outside my head.

That's cool. Just sounds like you might be putting the pussy on a pedestal. Seriously, though. Don't forget to live your life while on the road to career success. We'll all be dead in a few short decades, and really old much sooner than that. Don't wait.
