I noticed this as well. You could constantly see him thinking about what line he was supposed to say next. Not very good acting at all. He was a good sport about it all though.

I tend to agree. My theory is that people tend to remember the funny skits and ignore all the crap that has ALWAYS been in the middle of the good stuff. So, when considering how good it is right now, they are comparing the current show (with all the crap) to their perception of the old shows (with only the good stuff).

Maybe ... maybe ... however, the problem with that theory, Mr. DaFace, is that the show with Ackroyd, Belushi, and Murray rarely had any bad stuff.

I'm gonna go with 'Mr. FAX has forgotten the bad stuff.' Even, perhaps if Mr. FAX is young enough, 'Mr. FAX has never seen the bad stuff.'

I'd even submit, on a purely hit to miss ratio, the Farley/Sandler heyday had a better on base percentage. Even in the most humdrum of sketches, those two would do something, a glance, a tonal inflection, something where you said 'at least those guys are there.'

I haven't watched SNL in a long time. I used to try to watch it, always knowing that it was supposed to be funny, that I was supposed to like it...it was SNL after all. But, with the exception of a few memorable skits...

...SNL does now and has always pretty much sucked.

Hmmm. Okay, perhaps selective memory is at work in my poor, tired brain thing.

However, can you name one, single SNL skit featuring Ackroyd, Belushi, and Murray that stunk up the joint? Granted, the burger, burger, pepsi, pepsi deal seems a little tiresome, but still humorous.

Eh, I've never liked Kenan Thompson... he's annoying, and this one is no different. There might be a few decent jokes in there somewhere, but it's like looking for a laugh in a Pauley Shore movie.
