Had one growing up, and will have at least one for as long as I'm physically able to meet the exercise needs/demands of the breed. |

I can vouch for the smart bit. Yesterday wife leaves me a voicemail that says Chief got out and she had to lock him in the kennel. So I say to myself, "OK, WTF is he getting out?" So I walk him and put him in the yard and then watch him to see what he does. So he plays around for a bit then figures it out that I'm not coming back. So he calmly walks over to the fence and shimmies under a low spot. I run out to try to stop him, he's gone. I run around the backside of the yard looking for him, gone. ****. So I run back around the front of the house looking for him. He's sitting nicely outside of the front door waiting for me to come back out. Smart little shit. He just wants to be around people so much. If you go out there and sit down, he will just crawl in your lap and love on you forever. He's a good doggie. I'm amazed at how much he has learned in the 3 days we've had him. He may soon be smarter than me. ![]() |
