Grew up watching it on PBS when Tom Baker was the Doctor. He was my favorite until David Tenant. Tenant was born for that part IMO. I'll be curious to see how the new doctor does.

I just started watching the "new" Series starting with Christopher Eccleston. Really liked his portrayal of the Doctor. Also like Tennant as well. My cousin tried to get me to watch it in the late 70's/80's but just couldn't get past the crappy FX. Trying to catch up on the older series now.

Not much of his career is left after BBC trashed erased their tapes to reuse them, but I like Patrick Troughton. I just love the humor of his episodes and the interaction with his assistants.
I would like to see some of the newer doctors hold onto the role for more than 3 years.

Never seen a single episode. I've always been interested in it though.

I watched the 1st episode of the new Doctor Who w/Matt Smith. I really like him as the Doctor. He's kind of a cross between Tennant and Crispin Glover.

I am really liking him in the role so far as well. The new companion is smokin hot and an interesting enough character as well.

The new series is good but terribly inconsistent since you have to deal with a few truly shit episodes which are offset by some of really solid ones. I usually don't notice writers names on a particular series but anything written by Steven Moffat has been mostly really damn good. Fortunately he has taken over the show for this season so I am extremely optimistic about the show's future. Here are the Moffat credits so far and most Dr. Who Episodes are kind of stand alone unless it a 2 or 3 parter: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0595590/f...ries#tt0436992 I highly recommend "The Girl in the Fireplace" and "Blink" but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Moffat's other series, Jekyll is also good shit. Coupling is also hilarious but not the same genera. |

You guys that have already seen the new season, what are you getting a regular BBC feed on? I know the new season doesn't air on BBC America until the 17th, so torrents? Or does DirecTV get the real feeds?
