We hadn't given Wimberly much thought because the people we were with said it was all Houston oil money there, so we assumed we'd be priced out.

I'm not sure ... that may be the case now, a few years back it was a decent mix... but worth checkin out at least. Otherwise Kyle and Buda are both good choices and super convenient... I would stick to north for convenience or west for beauty... east is crap and south is closer to San Antonio which is blah.

I live here for school. It's not bad. New Braunfels/Canyon Lake area is nice and of course Austin/SA. The bars recently changed to stay open until 2am...so that's nice.

my inlaws are thinkin of movin here. i tell somewhere between newbraunfels and dripping springs. i recommend staying west of I35 as well. the lake s. of hancock is canyon lake
