GIF'D UP! 2010

It was one year ago that Bernard Pollard missed five tackles in one preseason game. Angered by his ineptness, I gif'd his ass up.

The gifs didn't lie. Pollard was exposed as a fraud, cut and banished from Kansas City. Emboldened by this great success, I created a massive a thread in which we exposed every fraud on the 2009 Kansas City Chiefs.

No one escaped the wrath of GIF'D UP. Every week, the ****ing axe came down with thunder. It was brutal, it was bloody, and it used up a ****ton of bandwidth.

GIF'D UP is back for 2010 and season two. We're going to expose every fraud on the 2010 Kansas City Chiefs. Let's get this show on the road. There are 20 weeks to the Super Bowl, Corey Mays, Jon McGraw, Ryan O'Failaghan and Rudy Niswanger are still Chiefs, and we need to send Mike Vrabel into early retirement.

LOCK AND LOAD!

In about an hour, we officially kick it off with the Atlanta review.

Man, Casslick has really poor instincts in the pocket.

I heard an interview with Gannon the other day in which he was asked about "accuracy" and whether or not it can be learned. He said that it does improve as you get more comfortable in your game, gain confidence in your receivers, and learn to read defenses better. Gannon ought to know, I guess.

Pocket instinct, however, is something you either have or you don't, I think. I don't believe you can learn it.

I think my favorite part of GIF'D UP is finding those little hidden hits on special teams. Moeaki and Belcher just ****ing killed guys on these.

Interestingly, both those hits might receive flags now.

No?
It kind of looks that way to me too honestly. I hate the throw across your body play call though.

Speaking of Moeaki, this kid is amazing. It's not hard to see why BossChief has a hard on for him. Let's review.

1. He gets open
2. He catches (see inset GIF)
2.5. He makes sicknasty catches
3. He blocks (see inset GIF)
4. He knocks guys out on special teams.

Very good use of his hands and leverage on this. He controlled Cushing all the way and gave Jones time to cut it upfield.

This isn't anything special, but I wanted to highlight a throw I never thought I'd see Cassel make. First of all, Moeaki isn't even really open. Cassel puts that ball in the perfect place.

Poor, poor Kris McWilson

OK, now, I know Cassel is getting his jock rocked on this play. BUT, here's my problem - he stared down Bowe from the second the ball was snapped. Shouldn't he, based on his presnap read, and based on seeing the blitz coming at the snap, look in the direction of the blitz and throw to the open Dex just before he's getting hit? Food for thought.

Casslick isn't all that great at making reads, Mr. GoghChiefs. Or going through progressions. Or stepping up.

He's tons better at throwing the ball away, though.

Thanks GoChiefs, ignore all the rest of us who told you all you had no idea what you were talking about when discussing Tony Moeaki. The guy is solid, all the way around.

Have you been following this deal, Mr. aturnis?

The league says you may not strike the head or neck area of your opponent with your head or your shoulder or your arm or a rubber chicken. If you do, it's a penalty, probable fine, possible suspension, and loss of rubber chicken.

The only thing I said was I doubted he could stay healthy.

So far he has 11 games to go.

All the talk I have heard has been helmet to helmet. Nothing more. Though I must admit, my time for following online has been very limited. I had my first child last Friday, so it's been busy.
