I rather listen to Petro, Curtis, and Frank Boal breakdown the Mr. Goodscents menu for 3 hours.

I was very disappointed when I turned on the radio yesterday and it was all Royals talk. I thought I had escaped them for at least a few more months.

With dinner for 2 at Jazz on the line, can you tell me who was the 2nd string QB for the '77 Olathe North squad who eventually went on to score the game winning touchdown on a punt return against Georgia Southern in their '79 matchup?
I'll give you a hint, he has 2 last names. |

Be thankful you are not in Springfield, where it's either bass tournament fishing or the Drury Lady Panthers.

810 did something very nice for a friend of mine today.
She just called me, and said they sent her a gift card to Wal-Mart to buy some Christmas presents. I'm going to remove some of the info to protect privacy, but here is the basic e-mail I sent to them last week about my friend: Sent to "makeithappen@810whb.com" "I know you'll probably be knee deep in tough luck stories, but I know somebody who could really use some holiday help. There's a lady who cuts my hair in Independence, and has done so for the last 15 years or so. Her name is Ann. When I went in to see her last week, I learned she had just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and it's bad. The tumor is apparently quite large, and has to be reduced with chemo before they can safely remove it. Since Ann cuts hair, she doesn't make a lot of money, and I don't believe she has health insurance. I know that her husband is unemployed right now. She also has a one year old baby daughter at home, and she is the sole provider. So obviously, things are very scary for her as the family's only bread winner, and she's very unsure as to whether she'll have the strength to keep working much longer. Ann is a huge Chiefs fan, and many years ago won a contest to go to a Super Bowl. She told me once that she thought she'd never "win anything ever again" because all her luck had been used up winning that trip. She's put on a very brave face, but I know she is worried sick about her family. She could sure use some luck right now, to help pay for food, diapers, and general baby needs. She's a wonderful person, and really is in a rough place in her life right now. She just started chemo this week, and is unsure if she'll have the strength to keep working while she goes through this process. She is a very wonderful lady. I've never known anybody who could use help for Christmas more than this person. She's very deserving, and is in a very dire situation right now. Anything you guys could do to help would be truly a gift. I wish you wisdom in choosing who is deserving of help, and thanks for considering my e-mail. Merry Christmas, George Blowfish" Major props to 810 for including her in their Christmas outreach. |
