He's a project that will require good coaching. He also has Jimmy Clausen hands. There are a lot of other guys in this draft at the receiver position I'd take over him (in personal preferential order):

1. Austin Pettis
2. Jon Baldwin
3. Leonard Hankerson
4. Vincent Brown

Chiefs have a legit #1 in Bowe. They've got their speed guy in Curtis. They've got their swiss army knife slot guy in McCluster. They need a long, possession type receiver that has great hands and can run precision routes. Smith does not fit the bill.

Relying on Curtis and McCluster?? Fail.

Poll Question:

Which statement is fuller of retart?

Kevin Curtis is our speed WR
Asamoah played LT

We have 1 WR and 1 guy who's more of a gadget, might develop into something you can use in the slot. I'd love Pettis, but if we get someone in FA like James Jones...

I used to hope Julio Jones might fall to us, but his worst case is Bengals passing on WR, Green going to Cleveland and Jones going to St Louis. More likely Green to Cinci and Jones to Cleveland.

Do you have any idea how fast Curtis is? I'm assuming absolutely no idea whatsoever based on your comment above. The guy can flat out fly.

He timed a 4.35 at the combine and ran a 4.21 at his pro day. He's been productive in the league and wouldn't be a bad guy to have as your stretch the field type of receiver.

And I'm not saying Curtis should be the #2 guy, unlike Chiefnj2 somehow thought. It's kinda why I'd like to have them draft a sure handed receiver that knows how to run a proper route. He should be the fourth receiver, stretch the field guy that has good hands. Jesus, the reading comprehension level around here is abysmal.

Jones? That's great. We need more guys on this team who can't catch the ball. Maybe we should look at Braylon Edwards as well.
