So, ima be the best person I can be. But i'm not going to sit here and throw money at a church, or stress myself to follow every teaching to a "T". I'm not going to sit here and study the bible and put my faith in man. If god does exist, he'll know that i was a person of high morality. If he lets me in, great. I don't think someone has to throw money at a church or worry about following every teaching to a T to show they love God.

Particularly the following every teaching to a T part. If you're referring to basically obeying the commandments, remember that none of us do. We're all sinners. That's the whole point. The commandments are not there to be something we beat ourselves up over because we fail. They're there to help us realize we need Jesus to save us.
