Chiefs vs. Bills discussion thread...

Now that the preseason is over finally, the real bullets start to fly!

Who wins? What matchups can we take advantage of? How do we matchup with their offense, defense, special teams?

We must beat them. My wife's aunt is a big fan and she's as annoying as their uniforms.

Yep. If we lose to the Bills, it's a great win for them, and a tsunami reactor fail for the Chiefs.

It's definitely possible from what I've seen from this team so far.

Then you have lots of rotations going on. There are more than 2 CBs quite often. There is the question of schemes. Situational variables. Question marks.

Writing up a comprehensive comparison on each position of the two teams is too much like work, and I don't see the point. Why don't YOU do it?
Nobody was asking for a comprehensive comparison in a single post. Detoxing's point was to use it as a starting point for a debate.

If it's indisputable, why do you want me to argue?

If you play bad teams, you are going to look better doing it. Such is the case with the Chiefs last year IMO. Yeah, they made the playoffs...so did Seattle, who even knocked New Orleans out. Seems like Chiefs fans are a little overconfident after last season, which is only natural. You guys played 4 teams with a winning record in 17 games, and you only won one of those games. That's not nothing, and it should be taken under consideration if you want to be reasonable. Look at the past three seasons before that.

Meanwhile, you have the Bills playing Green Bay, Pittsburgh, New York Jets twice, New England twice, Baltimore, Chicago, etc. You won't look as good playing those teams, especially in the first year of a new regime that is trying to change the whole philosophy of the team, with new schemes and systems and all the problems that brings.

Plus our new uniforms are pretty sharp.

As the platitude goes, you can only play the teams on your schedule. No one here is going to deny your statement, but how is that relevant to the discussion?

If your point is, "You don't really know if the Chiefs are good enough to compete unless they beat elite teams." You're right, we don't. We won't know until we play them. But the point of this thread is that we think we're better than the Bills.
