Question about a beer

Last November, someone gave my girlfriend a bottle of Belgium, flavored beer. It's been sitting on the counter, not the fridge, since that time, including during hot summer with no air conditioner.

Should this still taste right? I won't be able to tell myself, because to me, all beer tastes pretty bad.

At one point, years ago, I did shots of "ta kill ya" but it's not my thing at this point in life. They only thing I can't drink is Sothern Comfort/Yukon Jack. I got sick on SC when I was 18, and just the smell of that will damn near make me yack, to this day.

This. Or even just seeing it being shaken in the bottle.

See beer did that to me when I was 12.

First time drinking and went WAY overboard.
Drank got real drunk.
Ran from the police got caught punched up a little and then drank quite a bit more.

Then puked for what seemed like a month.

My friends are all a coupleof years older so I had to keep up to be respected, and I did. Always.

We all are still good friends, hell one works for me, and we all had a great laugh over it at my house on labor day.

Good times.

Yeah, I was at a keg and had a big bottle of Southern Comfort with me. I was drinking that, along with a lot of beer. I downed about half of it, while draining numerous brews. I remember things starting to spin, before talking to the beast. That was the last time I have ever yacked from alcohol and also the last time I had SC. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Darn you all about your talk of beer and whiskey.

Now I had to go pour myself a double of "Old Pulteney" 12 Single Malt.

Really, really enjoy the Pendryn and I've heard a lot of good stuff about Japanese single malts.

Already know I like the Irish (Redbreast) and the New Zealand (Milford) ones.

This applies at cellar temperatures. Sitting through a hot summer with no AC is a HUGE variable. It probably killed of the yeast left in there. I know when brewing, yeast that gets too warm can go "wild" and ruin a beer. I doubt it would be that severe in the bottle since it's deprived of oxygen, but I'm not really sure. I do know that heat can mess with the alpha acid from hops which makes the beer taste skunky. The again, that's not a remotely hoppy beer so...

Bottom line: Just drink it and you tell us.

I went to a kroenke wedding a couple of years ago. And got hooked on patron. Good shit.

We partied like a mother ****er that night buddy. Free drinks from like 5 pm until we hit the shuttle to the hotel at 5 am and they were handing us bottles on the way out the door.

probably the most awesome thing I've ever witnessed, the caterers had done a coors family wedding a couple of weeks prior and said we drank them under the table.

Supposedly like a 10 million dollar wedding
