I'm going to see how the game runs in Boot Camp on the next test run... and make a determination from there. If I'm comfortable with the way it runs in that environment, I'd like to be a proud member of the Right 53!
I know one char variant I'll run for sure is a Jedi Guardian. He'll be based on the first char I ran in a pen-and-paper game. The smuggler/gunslinger also just looks like too much fan. John Woo-ing it up in a Star Wars setting? Yes, please. I'm not an MMORPG expert by any means, but I am as big a Star Wars geek as can be found (not that my EU knowledge will help at all in the game world, but still...)

Reading that message it appears that the new external invitations will go out daily during the test. That might explains Stephen Reid's message this morning about how the next beta weekend will determine how they set up the Early Access, and the comment about how some players may receiver more play time than others leads me to think it's a dry run testing a certain number of players per day.

Update on Dark Side guild.
We changed from Wookie Crisps to Wookiee Crisps so we could have proper spelling. |

Sounds like it's the same beta weekend that everyone who has a SWTOR account is invited to. They said that they were partnering with media sites (like IGN) to get more people into the beta.
It also sounds like this upcoming beta is testing their ability to provide early access. Quote:

So is this new beta weekend going to be this weekend or Thanksgiving weekend? From what Lemonpledge posted he had to sign up by 11-18 which would be This Friday.

Sounds like the final beta weekend client may be the release client:

That's a brilliant idea. Invite everyone in a for a beta, which is essentially going to be a dry run for launch day (week). Any issues you have will be shrugged off since it's a beta test. Then have those testers keep the client and just have them patch when it launches. Not only will your die-hard players already have the client at launch, but it will free up the bandwidth for everyone else who ordered a digital copy and are going to be downloading it at launch.

In somewhat related news... just finished the Darth Revan book. Those of you who enjoyed KOTOR I and KOTOR II should definitely take a look at it. Definitely fleshes out the story of the game, which I feel is ALWAYS the beauty of a Bioware game.
Several concepts that I think will have an effect in TOR:
Spoiler!
