McDermott to Creighton?!?

http://www.creighton.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1078387

Action 3 in Omaha is reporting that Creighton has hired Iowa State head coach Greg McDermott to the be the new head coach of Creighton.

The deal is worth $9 million over 10 seasons.

I do agree this might be a good thing for ISU in the long run. With that said, who do they get this late in the game? They probably have to mine the lower D-1 schools again.

Weren't Mike Anderson, Bob Huggins, Jeff Capel, Sean Sutton, Greg McDermott & Doc Sadler all hired the same year(2006?) to coach their teams?

Looks like Mizzou made the best hire.

We played horrible D.

All you guys are are 3 point shooters and McDermott on the inside. We didn't cover the 3 at all.

Those ****ing flops helped your cause though. It was like I was watching Jimmer all over again. I hope Creighton gets raped the rest of the season.

Flops ? You mean charging?
I watched the game. The only bad call came about 2 minutes into the second half where San Diego State point guard traveled & it wasn't called. Other than that/ very clean called game. You guys had your opportunities. You guys kept making 3 pointers to keep it a 1 possession game. Was a great game.

Both of McDermott's charges taken were clearly flops.

Then he traveled in the 2nd half and the refs didn't blow the whistle and he ended up making a bucket and got an and 1.

I really have nothing against you, Omaha, or Creighton, but I ****ing hate when refs treat a kid like he's a ****ing star player. If you can't see that he's getting preferential treatment, you're blind.

You should ask him who he roots for when Nebraska plays Creighton.
