Maybe I am in the minority, or maybe not, but I would like to see Marty get one more chance to succeed in NFl.

Me too. If he became the Bucs' coach, they would become my second favorite team. I always liked Marty.

Sucks to be famous for being a failure, despite obvious skill. Posnanski talked about a time when, after one of the Chiefs playoff meltdowns, he asked the guys in the press room to turn off their recorders. Poz admitted he was paraphrasing, but he said Marty essentially asked, "What am I doing wrong?" Sorry, I just feel bad for him.

Add to that how much the guy cared for his players and the Chiefs franchise. Hell, I don't know if I've EVER seen a grown man cry as hard and as openly as Marty did at DT's HoF induction.

The guy's a great coach who can't get over the hump. I don't care who it's with, I'd love to see him get there.

What if he was HC in Oakland?

No shit, maybe even then. At the very least it would make me feel a whole lot better about it. Luckily, I am fairly certain he would never work for the Raiders. (Another reason to like Mary)

This is why I've always liked Marty.

100% real.

And I can't EVER remember thinking "Wow, dick move, Marty."

One of the nicest guys in pro football ever, and would have won a SB if AJ Smith wasn't a reerun. At the very least he would have gotten 3 DIFFERENT teams to AFC Championship games, and that's a remarkable feat.
