Yeah, I really liked Mike Anderson. For a while there, I was all in... but that last season he was here was just a mess. I'm glad he's gone, and look forward to playing his teams.

It's nice to see Mizzou run an actual offense.

Between him and the DGB thing, we've got some seeds planted for a rivalry.

That's just how it should be. For me, my favorite teams (Chiefs, Mizzou, Royals) are just like family. Sometimes they piss me off, but I still love 'em. There is no quitting, or switching teams.

Exactly. I have no choice in the matter. My teams are all part of who I am. If all 3 went winless I'd look forward to the next season.

I liked Anderson too. That is probably why I hate him now. He brought Mizzou back from the cluster **** that was Quin Snyder, and then he ups and leaves. I understand him leaving for the Arkansas job, but he left the cupboard completely bare when he did, and that pissed me off more than anything. The way he left was completely unprofessional.

The fact that the team is so much better under a new coach (who nobody wanted) just makes it easier to like the fact that he's gone.

Those tweets from English say a LOT. Under Haith, he's a different player... and this is a different team. It just lends a ton of credence to the idea that Mike Anderson knew what he was going to do (Arkansas) and wasn't all that into it.

So is Haith the man to keep MU at this level? I know nothing about his recruiting ability but this season sure isn't going to hurt him.

Coming in everybody hated the hire because they thought he couldn't coach. (Not an X's and O's guy) Supposedly his strength was recruiting. And I can see why... he's a charismatic dude.

Yeah, I think he knew the Arkansas job was going to be open before the season even started. It is pretty obvious he gave up on Mizzou early, given how his recruiting dropped off last season.

In the end though, him leaving might turn out to be best thing to happen for Mizzou basketball in a long, long, time.

He's shocked everyone by coaching a short, thin Mizzou team to where they are now.

The one thing he had on his side was experience. This is an experienced roster that's been through some battles.

He has taken what strength MU had and maxed it out, quick talented kids and taught them not to beat themselves with turnovers. Maximizing their processions and making FT's, contesting each shot and getting to as many loose balls as possible.

MU does all the little things well, probably better than anybody in the country since they are so short on size.

This makes MU capable of beating anybody, anyplace at anytime.
