You can also get results and not change your diet (as long as its not really horrible) as long as you control how much you eat. Portion control would be all a ton of people need but just can't do it. Of course for maximum results and to look like the guys on the DVD's then yes you need to severely change just about any diet.

Yeah, they toss you in the fire right away, but IMO the first two workouts are the most intense (pushups/pullups and plyo, IIRC.. and I never knew how bad my core was until I did the ab ripper)... some of the other stuff was kind of a letdown after the first two days, but I understand it can't all be like that since it's a 6-7 day/week plan.

My legs have been sore all week, and I don't see an end to that, but from what I'm seeing around the internet, I can't really argue with the results.

Yeah, it's crazy at first when you feel like you've gained 30 years and can barely straighten your body, but that area seemed to improve the fastest for me.

oh, to those who are starting this, wear shoes and get a thick mat. There is a lot of jumping, you don't want to do insanity barefoot on your carpet, or you'll probably hurt your feet and knees.
