I had one of those. Put a bullet in it's head and saved 100's of beaker's lives.

Players need more fouls (works in Jr. high girls BB)
In no way shape or form should we get any excitement out of our team, we need to act like we have been there.
And we are going to get stomped at AFH
Oooh, can I play?

Missouri has consistently been ranked in the top 25 in both football and basketball in the past decade.
Basketball is a secondary sport; Missouri fans don't care.
Missouri's B game beat KU's A game in Columbia.
Complaining about the refs after questionable calls against the team you root for is inexcusable, but complaining about calls in a game that didn't involve the team you root for is fine.
Kansas losing in the tournament brings elation to Missouri fans that would be comparable to Missouri winning a National Championship.
Kansas is like one missed basket away from being a complete disappointment for the past 25 years.

That's only off the top of my head though...

Depends, do they want to eat the turds, or do they need to eat the turds?

Wait...I forgot, the distinction appears lost on them. So I would have to assume that yes - Beakers eat their own poop.

FTR, I think Braincase's post was taken the wrong way. Of course, to not think so would be to believe that he was complimenting the Tigers on their play, which is difficult for people to do, since so many KU fans have been in here to "educate" MU fans on what it means to be good or the proper way to act when we win. This is evidenced by the fact that two of the top four posters in this thread are KU fans.

Anyway, if it was a compliment, then thank you, Braincase. If not, then I don't see what going on the defensive is all about.

Thanks, luv. I've come to accept that because I'm a Jayhawk fan, in the eyes of some I will always be a pompous, sanctimonius prick that teaches kids to elbow other kids in the jaw as a matter of course. Everybody is entitled to think what they want, and distill what they want from my posts. Perception becomes reality. I'm not too worried about it.

Heh, everything I posted was an opinion of one or very few Missouri fans, which I don't attribute to the fan base at all, so there's really no reason to defend any of it. It's like if one or a few KU fans here said they don't care about the rivalry, there would be no reason for MU fans to mock it every time a KU fan posts anything remotely related to MU... err.

But, if you were really looking for answers.... #1 is not even close to being true (the original comment was something along the lines of "both sports have consistently ended the season in the top 25 over the past decade"... but, it's happened like 4 or 5 times combined).

#5 - No, it was expected. And even when it's not expected (see 2006, when the Chiefs needed the Broncos to lose at home to the lowly 49ers on the last day of the season), it's a great moment, but nothing more. Honestly, when that kind of stuff happens (such as MU losing to Iowa in the Insight Bowl), I'm more surprised than anything... and that's probably the first time I've mentioned that loss since it happened. I'm not saying it's wrong to be happy when a rival loses, it's just not something I get overly excited about or hang my hat on or buy t-shirts over.

#6 - I don't know who those KU fans would be, and I completely disagree that it's all that matters. Of course there's disappointment in those years, but the point was that the past 25 years hasn't solely been about one NC and a bunch of disappointment. They've played to their seed several times, but all of that gets overshadowed by a couple of years when KU was overrated and a couple of other big upsets.

Why are you posting all of this in an MU thread?

Is it really that hard to follow? It only goes back like 20 posts. People were talking about KU, I joined in on the fun, luv responded to me, I responded to her, and here we are.

I'm not making a flowchart.

He's simply responding to me. That's not even the best example of a "WTF is this doing in here?" post. There was a moment a night or two (hell, maybe three) ago where I thought I accidentally clicked on the KU repository thread.

KU fan posting here because??? I can’t leave work for another 2 hours?

Uh nice game, MU played very well. For the MU fans complaining that KU was getting all the calls VS KSU MU again got the calls in excess of 2-1 in their favor last night and guess what? Like 99 % of the time it didn’t have squat to do with who won the game. While either team certainly could stumble there is no reason for either KU or MU to lose another conference game except the one yet to be played in Lawrence. I am hoping for a KU win (ok I want “To crush MU, see them driven before us, and to hear the lamentation of their women.) and then I hope to see them play one more time in the Big 12 tournament. I am going to miss this.
