The Tigers have their best shot at breaking the Final Four drought this year. They got the weakest of the #1 seeds. It's all good. I do worry about Florida, however.

Yeah, I'm sure that's what the players were doing... and saying "players and fans really thought they would be rewarded for losing" is full reerun. I'm sure a few people thought they should have still gotten a 1 seed, but just about everyone here and everyone I talked to before Selection Sunday said they were fine with anything, and figured they would get a 2 in the Midwest or West.

That said... you really think it didn't work out? You think fans and players are disappointed about playing in Omaha and then hopefully St. Louis? At most, I think most KU fans thought they would get a #1 in the West, but preferred the #2 in the Midwest.... I fail to see how it could be spun into something bad for KU, just so you can take joy in it.... but, whatever helps you sleep at night.

If the majority of your fans preferred a 2 seed over a 1 seed, then your fanbase has a hilariously low IQ.

History clearly shows that the road to the Final Four is much easier as a 1 seed than a 2 seed. I guarantee that Self wanted that 1 seed.

Meh, I know the numbers, and I'm sure it's a mix between an easier road and #1s simply being better than #2s (weird)... and 1s generally play close to home, so that part worked out.

Kansas has been a #1, played the highest possible seed all the way to the FF, and lost... they've been a #1, played a #2 in their backyard, and lost... they once had a relatively easy road to the FF, then were part of a FF of all #1s, and won a NC... and they had a relatively easy road last year and lost in the Elite Eight.

There's more parity these days, so I'm more interested in matchups than seeds... sure, a #1 has never lost in the first round, but it's been over a decade since a #2 did. And the bottom half of KU's bracket could easily fall apart... they could see double digit seeds until the EE.
