This season could be about Peyton.....Hillis that is

JC will be back along with T-Mo and Berry. Houston and Baldwin have a year under their belts and Winston will be wearing Chiefs red on Sunday's.

The difference this year is we have a power back that can actually produce. 6'2", 250 and half psyco.

3rd and short suddenly has become the best friend for the Chiefs where in the past few years it was their worst enemy.

If he can revert to 2010 form the Chiefs will pack one of the best backfields in the league and now they have lineman that can actually block.

Whether you start JC or not (and we should), a heavy dose of the other Peyton could be what this team has lacked. A power back that can truly wear down the interior of a defense. A bck who can power for the short yardage even when the blocking is stuffed.

This gives the Chiefs a better opportunity to win doing what they are best at doing...dink-dunk the ball. Longer posession times will spell longer rest times for the H-J-H pass rush.

And longer posession times mean longer stints of opposing defenses chasing one of the best RB's in the league all over the field then tackling a freight train late in the games.

Hillis could end up being one of the best FA signings this team has made offensively next to Winston.

I assume you are talking about Dex? Despite Haley running him up the middle constantly I don't recall him ever being sold as a power back. It's one thing for a 5'7" 170lb guy to go down with arm tackles. It's another when your alleged "power backs" go down the same.

Dex sucks as bad as TJ and Battle.

Jamaal Charles doesn't go down to arm tackles all the time. Running backs who do, whatever their size, suck.

Well the hope is we don't have to run Dex much. Charles, Hillis and possibly whomever we draft (hope another bigger back).

I long for the days of having a Christian Okoye running over fools again (luckily Steve Atwater no longer plays). Hopefully Hillis is 100% physically/mentality.

Not sure I want the 100% mental. I think a little whacko might be good for him.

What worries me is that both Charles and Hillis tend to fumble quite a bit.

I wouldn't be upset one if we were to trade back in the draft, draft Konz later in the first and Doug Martin in the early second.

We as fans waited for how long to get some talent at WR with the killers B's not to mention two pretty talented TE's and we are talking smash mouth football!
I wish somebody, anybody would FIX the damn QB position!

I know I'm gonna get LJ/Holmes thrown in my face but is RB really what this team needs in the early second, with Charles, Hillis and McCluster on the roster? There are already plenty of options/weapons to work with. If this team can't average consistently in the 20's points scored with these players already on the roster......Well, they will need a new QB

They need D! Pass rushers, a valid NT, legit ILB next to DJ and a Safety.

I'm not in love with this signing but when you look at the huge difference between Battle/2 Yard Thomas and Charles/Hillis you have to get excited.

We're talking about 2 former pro bowl level HB's replacing two complete scrubs.

Plus one of the 5 best RT's in the game replacing one of the 5 worst...

Martin is being compared to Ray Rice. If you can get Ray Rice in the second, you do it.
