Because other teams might actually put him in the post every time down and allow him to do what he does best. Instead, the Lakers had him situated at the free throw line setting picks and shooting jumpers. His value has decreased a bit, but I'd guess other teams still think highly of him. Again, Houston tried very hard to get him at the beginning of this season, willing to give up Scola, Kevin Martin and Dragic to get him before the Commish killed the deal.

The guy is going to be 32 years old next year and is owed more than $38 million over the next two years. Who wouldn't want to send the Lakers a young, cheap, controllable player for this stud?

I said earlier it wasn't a good fit for Minny. They've already got Love and Pekovic, and no point stunting Pekovic's growth. Are you still arguing the Derrick Williams point?

I'm arguing that Gasol is still a valuable asset to the right team. Daryl Morey wanted to trade three good players for him five months ago.

I missed the Haslem foul but if he attempted that last Pittman play it would be the top 3 stories on SportsCenter, I'd grant you that. That was pretty ugly.
