Ah, you're right. I thought the card was more expensive than it is. Still, I'd just get the book and be done with it.

Get the passport in book form...
Its cool to see your stamps over time. I have been stamped in Mexico severals time, Nassau, Caymens,St Thomas, St Croix, Turks and Cacios,Canada, UAE, Pakistan (and have visa in Passport). Its neat to go back and relive some of those moments looking through your passport. |

All I know is that, should something happen and I get left behind, I have to have a passport to get back into the US. Is he card good enough for that?
All with $25 Execution Fee: Card + Book = $165 Book = $135 Card = $55 http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/fees/fees_837.html |

It's been awhile sense I did it. I remember it taking awhile... but not as long as their advertised waiting period.
I'd go ahead and get the book so you'll have it in the future. |

Why would you want to spend $150+ on something you don't have to have?

We went ahead and got the book. Because if something were to happen, and you had to fly you have to have the book. Don't get both. That would be dumb.
