Chiefs Would You be OK With Trading Bowe For a 1st? - Page 2

Lets say a contract cant be worked out because Pioli and Bowe are too far apart and it looks like Bowe will walk after this year or the only way to retain him is to tag him again.

Bowe has a 1100 yard season with 8-10 TDs and Baldwin has just over 1000 yards and has 7-9 TDs...would you be OK with trading Bowe to a team like Cleveland, NY or Miami for a single first round pick before next year starts?

The first round pick would fall into the 15-20 range.

Bowe would get at least a 2 +. Not sure Bowe would demand a first though.

There isn't a single QB in next season's draft that I would draft in the 1st rd, not even the guys from TEN, BAMA, or ARK. (of course I have the right to change my mind after this season.)

Knowing that whoever trades for him is going to have to sign him longterm, 40+m won't want to give a 1st for him.

A 2nd and a 3rd is probably the most you'd get.

Assuming Baldwin lives up to the camp buzz in the regular season and proves he is an elite, and I mean elite WR, top 10.

Yes, trade Bowe for a 1st and 3rd. Then bundle a 1st and 2nd or even both 1st rounders to move to the top of the draft and get something the Chiefs have not had in 30 years or more....A TRUE FRANCHISE QB.

The problem....IF Baldwin proves himself then Cassell will have very likely done enough game managing to keep his job. So, this is really not much more than a fantasy. Pioli would instantly become a Chief legendary GM if he pulled this off coupled with the quality drafting he has done up to this point.

But no QB's in next years draft IMO are on that same level.

You don't just draft a QB in the first rd for the sake of drafting a QB in the first rd....regardless of how long the Chiefs have avoided to do so.
