Like I said, he is shirt and just documents practice. I read every tweet. He is unbiased in his reporting, but when he gives his opinion, it's obvious he would rather see Quinn, and anyone who pimps Cassel "best QB in camp" has no credibility. Both Stanzi and Quinn are probably superior to him in term of the physical capabilities desired in a QB are concerned. The main difference with the perception is Cassel's unwillingness to take a shot downfield (b/c he's not physically capable) and the talent that surrounds him.

Get bent with those takes. I want to know who is PHYSICALLY capable and whether or not they're mentally capable.

That's what I'd do. He did put himself out there though, it's his lack of follow through that gets him here. Either own up to stupidity, or stick to it, don't try to change "what you meant"

I don't think he does. He's solely referring to the quickness claims. McCluster looks quick at times, b/c his tiny legs move fast, but he doesn't go as far. He definitely has the potential to be quick, but either his instincts, timing, reactions or thoughts process are slow b/c more often than not, by the time he makes his move, it's too late.

Another reason was because he was recently cut, which means we'll get a compensatory pick for Carr even though we replaced him.

Not willing to put themselves out there for ridicule by actually assessing players and their technique or their play in different assignments of different defensive looks. Mostly, b/c they don't know anything about the defense, the players responsibility, or desired technique.

Good follows are @TheFilmRoom or @Jacobs71.

Cordell(@TheFilmRoom or formerdb on message boards) really has a wealth of knowledge to share. Very good follow, problem being he hasn't made training camp much save about a week.

Nick Jacobs(@Jacobs71 with Metro Sports) isn't as knowledgeable as Cordell, but still light years better than most. He may not be as knowledgeable as Cordell, but is better than most and willing to put himself out there. Even though he likes Stanzi, he's a lot less biased than most, pointing out his terrible mistakes as well as good plays.

One night when Cordell was unable to attend, he asked Jason Madison what coverage the QB's were throwing against in 7 on 7 in the redzone, which was a TDfest, Madison made excuse after excuse why he couldn't answer the question. I left the area, ten minutes later, still reporting on 7 on 7 happenings, Cordell asks again, "I can't get a good look from where I'm at". All this while the defense typically works on the same coverage through all three teams so they can all get reps and the coaches can evaluate a player's play in said coverage. The guy had tons of opportunities to figure out the coverage, but didn't know how and was afraid to put himself out there for ridicule. @Jacobs71 later answered Cordell question for him.

Those two guys are about the only guys I trust for player evaluation. The majority of the rest don't know what they're looking at and are only good for updates on what's happening.

Jason La Canfora is supposed to be at camp today I believe. Don't know if he's any good at player evaluation, or just a reporter like most of the rest. Still be cool to hear his takes though.
Here's how you can tell if a guy is good at player evaluation according to aturnis & BossChief

If they suck off Stanzi they know what there talking about.

If they don't then they don't know what there talking about.

Word. I think it's mostly because he's shown good potential as the #2 in the past. A major concern has been discipline in scheme and play(penalties). That comes with coaching, and I feel we believe we're better at that than the Raiders. The Raiders db coaches coached Routte to be a bit over physical, the "receivers don't too" I mentality. I don't think that flies here, and while I fully expect a lot of flags from him, hopefully they start to die down late this year, and into next.
