Chiefs Brady Quinn getting half the first team reps - Page 17

I am surprised this hasn't been posted yet, but according to the radio on 610 this morning, (Bill Maas and Fescoe) Quinn has been getting about 50% of the first team reps in practice this week.

In the short term this is certainly a good thing because Quinn certainly can't be worse than what Cassel has been so far. But I wonder, what if he starts and does decent? Decent enough to warrant not drafting a first round QB next year. I really want the team to win but I want it to be like last week against the Saints every week where we win in spite of the QB, not because of him or with him really contributing. If Quinn does decent will that preclude them from going hard after a QB next season? (If they ever were going to at all).

*EDIT* I found the podcasts where they talk about this. It starts at about 15:10.

Fescoe asks him how RAC feels about Cassel and so they talk about it. At around 15:10 when they talk about it Maas say, "They are keeping their options open...," then he goes on to elaborate around 15:45,

Why is nobody else reporting yet? I'm guessing everyone is busy checking their sources to verify this story and Arrowhead is on a lockdown after Maas shared this little tid-bit this morning. This isn't that big of a stretch people. I'm not sure why it's difficult to believe that one of the players or low-level team officials leaked this to Maas.

I don't doubt the reports are true and I wouldn't doubt if it was to try to light a fire under Casshole.

If Pioli is as insecure as everyone reports and only cares about his "image". the only thing that will get Cassel yanked is fear of losing when we could have won.

Well, common sense tells me that is how it should be, problem is I realized last year common sense and Pioli's methods are not compatible thought processes.
