The number of blowouts during the Pioli era is truly remarkable.

I’m defining a blowout as a game where we lose by more than 14 points. Anything more than 14 just isn’t being competitive at all.

Just over 3 Years during the Pioli era, 18 blowouts. Look at the # per year.

2012
09/09/12 - L - 40,24 (Falcons)
09/16/12 - L - 35,17 (@ Bills)
09/30/12 - L - 37,20 (Chargers)
10/14/12 - L - 38,10 (@ Tampa Bay)
11/01/12 - L - 31,13 (@ San Diego)

2011
09/11/11 - L - 41,7 (@ Bills)
09/18/11 - L - 48,3 (@ Lions)
11/06/11 - L - 31,3 (Phins)
11/21/11 - L - 34,3 (@ Pats)
12/11/11 - L - 37,10 (@ Jets)

2010
11/14/10 - L - 49,29 (@ Broncos)
12/12/10 - L - 31,0 (@ Chargers)
01/02/11 - L - 31,10 (Raiders)
01/09/11 - L - 30,7 (Ravens) Playoff game… Awesome. Thanks)

2009
09/27/09 - L - 34,14 (@ Eagles)
10/25/09 - L - 37,7 (Chargers)
11/29/09 - L - 43,14 (@ Chargers)
12/06/09 - L - 44,13 (Broncos)

Without even looking, IM guessing his stats in those games are remarkably similar to most of his Chiefs stats.....

I would be curious to see a list of games that were lost where the Chiefs were trailing by 14 or more at halftime or midway through the 3rd quarter.

Good stats here. So sickening that we haven't even been competitive this year. Pathetic.

Thig was actually quite the baller, we lost a ton of games, but by some miracle they all came down to the wire (with a couple of exceptions, of course.)

78 percent Cassel.

Most common denominator for sure.

Croyle and Palko are shittier versions of Cassel and therefore get us butt****ed to a greater degree.

I know that Cassel's complete ineptitude plays a huge role in these games turning into blowouts, but the defense hasn't done much to help.

Week 1: Falcons TD on opening drive
Week 2: Bills TD on 2nd drive
Week 3: Saints TD on opening drive
Week 4: Chargers TD on opening drive

This defense was supposed to be a strength. So far this season they have stunk up the joint, and the stinking has started well before the offense's failure can be used as an excuse.

Cassel is a huge problem, but this team has more problems than just QB.

I would say the defensive problems are rooted in Crennel's lack of organization, preparedness, and competence as a head coach/gameplanner.

Cassel, however, would be getting happy feet against KU's defense with the way he's been playing.
