Is nobody even interested in this team anymore? Brady Quinn is your starter...

I can't believe nobody posted Romeo's presser yet.

Moeaki? You know, you're clearly a smart guy, you look at this team in a lot of the same ways I do. But you've got to be more objective and less of an Iowa homer when looking at those players. Moeaki had a brilliant catch his rookie season, and did a few things. He's so far behind the curve right now it's not even funny, and you can blame the injury all you want. When those guys don't come back from those, it doesn't magically click 2-3 years later. See Charles as an example.

Fat Scott doesn't deserve to select the next Chiefs QB.

Why should anyone care its barely an upgrade of a season in a division thats not getting the wildcard and were sitting 1-5.

As an out of towner though I'm curious what the local news or papers in KC are saying about it.
Is the Headline BIG changes in KC.
or Its about time or poor Cassel or...

Can someone enlighten me?

So here's an interesting question. What does the QB situation look like for the 2013 Chiefs?

Going with the popular scenario, we have a 1st round rookie. Quinn is a FA in 2013, does he re-sign with KC in a situation where he clearly doesn't have a future? Cassel almost has to be cut, it just wouldn't make sense to keep him here.

So our 2013 QB depth chart is?

1. Rookie QB
2. Stanzi, never played a real NFL down
3. Tanney, never played a real NFL down

You would want a guy like Quinn as a backup, maybe even to start the first part of 2013 until the rookie is ready. But what's Quinn's incentive to sign another contract in KC? What other veteran guy might be the new Chiefs backup? If Quinn is horrible in these next 4-5 games, does Stanzi start the remaining games in an attempt to prep him for a larger role in 2013 (or to figure out if it's time to move on from him)?

Honestly I think we can resign Quinn. If he plays well we will do what we always do and that is sign him and not draft a first round QB. Then of course we will draft another late round "project" QB. If he plays poorly then he will abandon any dreams of ever being a starter in the league as no team will sign him to do that. He will accept that he is a career backup and possibly resign here if offered.

So Cassel will be back?

Because I'm sure Josh McDaniels is plenty comfortable with him.

Most take a full season before they regain their form and Moeaki was good enough as a rookie the he was consistently redrafted as a first rounder by non biased reporters like Rich Gosslein.

If he is still sucking towards years end, I will re-evaluate.

He'll be injured again by then...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I just want Pioli gone!!! I don't want him making personnel decisions for our future. He has already fu*ked many big time decisions like head coaches and QB! His drafting is very hit or miss.

I want a new GM to move this dumpster fire forward!

More often than not players do not regain their true form in their first year back. Charles is an exception.
