That means to me, you're okay with Pioli staying as long as we get that "elite QB." I'm just saying, I don't want Pioli calling the shots on who that QB is, and who the coach for that QB is. I no longer trust Pioli's eye for talent or coaches.

Pioli decides everything on this team, if you want tin foil hat stuff, I think maybe Pioli has already been told he won't be back. It could explain why there have been no late season signings or moves, (many of the resignings have happened in season.), and Crennel seems to be working without restriction, as far as who starts, a freedom Haley never seemed to have.
