I'd take him in the 2nd even if we took Geno in the first (provided Bray is off the board). But I wouldn't take him before that.

I'd rather have Tyler Bray as a project than Aaron Murray. Neither are worth the #1 overall, but Bray's ceiling is much higher than Murray's.

Whether he declares this year or next, Murray will have a first-round grade. The big knock on him, pardon the pun, will be size.
Throws a great ball and has excellent footwork. If he declared this year, I believe he'd be, at least, the third QB off the board in the first, with a chance to go higher than this in terms of position ranking. |

Murray will be an NFL starter, IMO. I'm not sure how good he'll be, but he'll be able to start for teams in this league. Bray may never get his !@#$ together and become a decent passer. His footwork and throwing mechanics are just a chaotic mashup of unrepeatable parts. It's why his accuracy comes and goes so badly - he just can't repeat his delivery so he can't be sure of where the ball is going. He also likes to fall away from his throws, so I think he'll be prone to happy feet and being gunshy at the next level. Then again, if you coach him up, he has as much talent than anyone in the draft (Geno included). Bray's ceiling is 2011 Stafford. He could be absolutely elite. I like the Hockeysfuture grading system for prospects - a 1-10 scale being a player's ceiling and a letter afterward being the odds of them hitting it. Bray would be something like a 9.5D whereas Murray is probably a 7.5B. You're looking at differences in philosophy separating the two, IMO.

The thing about Murray is that he's not a huge project. He's a QB, if used intelligently, who could start year one. He's not an elite prospect, but he's a better one than Dalton, and I think he could be, at least, equally as successful in the league.

i liked what i saw from murray today, good pocket awareness, had a shaky start but he didn't let it get to him and kept throwing and had a killer game. Made good throws into some tight coverages and even a couple of those were deep balls into tight coverage. Had excellent footwork and mechanics, real good arm. Wish he was a little bit bigger though.
One thing i did notice is that he seems hesitant on his throws sometimes, like just as he loads up he second guesses it and does a half pump then decides to try to fire it in. Seems to work but seems to be an issue, just needs some coaching and taught up to be confident in his WR's and his abilities. I like the little bit i've seen so far. |

Draft Geno and if he doesn't win at least 10 games dump him and next season trade for Murray next year

we would JIMP if we would have been able to take matt stafford. and Murray has arguably been a better QB at georgia than stafford was. SO who knows.

If he comes out this year I say **** Geno.
Take advantage and trade out to some dumb team that'll give up all their picks for Murray. |

Oooooohhhh too far. You've been in rare troll form lately, LAC, but that was a glaring error. Pushed it too far. Got carried away.
Happens to the greatest ones, though. Don't let it get you down. |
