Oddly enough, he's still highly regarded as a personnel guy in the industry. I think what the spin will be is that he's perfectly fine running a personnel department as long as someone else is in charge of the football operations and selecting the QB.
Expect him to get a job somewhere, especially if Atlanta loses Caldwell. He will "rehab" his image and his name may pop up again. I'd be shocked though if anyone ever gave him full authority over all football operations in the future. Also based on Pioli's history, don't be shocked to hear spin out of his party trying to make excuses about why what happened happened. Either way, not our issue anymore... |
