I take the same idea with Pederson as I'm taking with a first round QB.

Yeah, he doesnt' have a track record. But you gotta take a chance, and to be honest, if Reid likes him enough to be the OC, I'll take his word for it.

When Reid first became a HC he hired a lot of young assistants. Some of them became head coaches.

A fair point, but let's not pretend this isn't the SAME Andy Reid who thought Juan Castillo could be a defensive coordinator.

He's not immune to making bad decisions.

Yeah, that is true.

But I'm not gonna be jaded based on the previous regime and Andy's other moves that, a normal person like Reid, would learn from.

Until he gives me reason here in KC, I'm giving him the chance to impress or depress.

Ive heard that was more of Castillo's idea and talked andy into. Forget where I heard it but who knows. Yes he has flaws. No doubt but so do alot of coaches. Still love the hire

Okay then.

Bad choices have consequences.
That's all I'm saying. This is an important hire.

It's not unreasonable for me to raise an eyebrow about whether or not Doug Pederson is qualified for this job. The guy's never coordinated at any level. No one's burned Andy Reid at the stake. I'm just thinking about whether or not he's the right guy for the job.
