You can go pretty fast on flat ground with a nice bike. 40 on the right road, would be NOTHING like that board shit through traffic. I hit a fairly deep pothole I didn't know about at probably 20-25 on my mountain bike on the way home late from a bar one night. Didn't even phase me, probably the booze, but ****ed up some expensive parts though. Did hurt some the next day. That is impressive as hell. No way I could do that.

Unfortunately I am...although I laugh about it now it was weird and stressful at the time...I didn't have a car at the time and roller blades were the new thing..1988

Can't even imagine going that fast. I skated a ton growing up but never rode those long boards like that. They must have much different wheels and bearings because the ones I used would probably burn up if I would have got going that fast.

How do you train to do that? I doubt you could really ride along with anyone, your first time would be pretty scary. I guess maybe they base jump for a while and eventually move on to this? Can't imagine what the first time would be like though.
