I didn't think it looked like that big of a deal at the time. I guess we'll find out.

Arkansas should win, but that's only because we are at home. That being said, we are bound to have some of our road woes show up at home one of these days. This could be that day.

Yeah, I don't expect Mizzou to be within 15. Bad matchup for us. If I had any disposable income at all, I'd be taking Arkansas.

Well, fear not, because much like Florida, you'll get the chance to stomp our asses when we play you in your house.

Also: not sure if any of you followed high school hoops, but you might remember coach Watkins' son, Manny. I think he was a sophomore in the Columbia area before they moved down here with Anderson. He's lighting it up in his senior year down here for FAyetteville High. Really great kid as well.

Missouri wins if:
It limits turnovers and avoids going crazy jacking 3s. Mizzou also has a significant advantage inside and could punish Arkansas on the offensive glass. This Missouri team is built a LOT like the Texas A&M teams that always gave Anderson fits (home and away). Missouri loses if: Pressey gets sped up and commits a ton of turnovers. Arkansas shoots like it did against Florida. How the game is officiated will be big, too. IF the officials let them play both inside and out, Missouri will consistently slaughter Arkansas inside while getting mauled and turning it over too frequently on the perimeter. Would be a really good game for Alex ORiakhi to show up and dominate.

Pressey's play is always important, but especially so today. I know I'm not exactly shocking the world with that statement, but the interplay between Anderson's understanding of Pressey's game, and Phil's understanding of Anderson's system--positioning, pressure, trapping, etc-- will likely be the deciding factor in our success. I'm also concerned about how the refs call this game; if the game is called more loosely because Arky is at home, we could have some problems.
The Vegas line is pretty telling... it seems that those in the know, think we have a better than decent shot of winning today. I learned long ago that these guys don't just make up lines, and they're usually pretty damn accurate. That the line is more favorable for Mizzou than expected, tells me that Vegas expects heavy money on Arky (meaning that they think Mizzou will do even better than the spread).. just my two cents.

Arkansas has no one who can come close to keeping Oriakhi in check, especially if the refs have a slow whistle in there.

The mere thought of Ross sitting out, thus leading to Webster Chan getting more PT, and thus, handling the press, has me ready to rip my epiglottis out.

Oh, and Pressey has looked god ****ing awful against the press this year. This could get really ****ing ugly unless his ability to handle the basketball in reality matches the talking head hype about said skill.
